Taxi Driver
Taxi Driver' is a nostalgic journey through Bombay during the classic 50s. The story transports you to an era when Bombay had quiet, peace and scenic beauty, electric trams, and also a unique taxi driver, Mangal (Dev Anand), who is called 'Hero' by his friends. Mangal drives a cab by day, drinks at night listening to his singer girlfriend, Sylvie (Sheila Ramani), and ends the day in a drunken stupor. One day, he comes to the rescue of a damsel in distress, Mala (Kalpana Kartik), being molested by two thugs. They then set out to search for the person she wants to meet, only to end up on an adventurous journey that turns their friendship into a heartwarming romance. Will Mangal and Mala's chance meeting lead them to a lifetime of together?
