Pritam and Vidya are madly in love with each other, but Pritam starts distancing himself from the relationship when he realises Vidya is an obsessive and possessive lover. He finally decides to break it off with her and marry someone else, but Vidya doesn't take the news well and attempts suicide. Pritam and his new fiance help her recover physically and mentally. Just when everything seems to be falling into place, Vidya does something drastic that has a catastrophic effect on all their lives.
